Principio de funcionamiento

The EP-PWD3150 utilises a three-stage compound planetary arrangement. Input from the hydraulic motor rotates the first-stage sun gear; the planet carrier of stage 1 becomes the sun gear shaft of stage 2, and similarly for stage 3. This cascading arrangement achieves very high reduction ratios (up to 150:1) in a single coaxial housing. An optional failsafe spring brake located between input and stage 1 holds the load automatically on power loss.

Housing sections are machined from GGG50 ductile iron, coated in two-component epoxy primer to resist salt spray to ISO 12944-C5M.
