The 2-stage planetary layout is identical to the RPR2250 in gear geometry. The differentiating feature is the cooling fin flange ?? cast integrally into the output end bell, its extended surface area conducts frictional heat from the oil sump to ambient air by natural convection. In enclosed spaces, this passive cooling reduces steady-state oil temperature by 8-12 degC, extending synthetic lubricant service life proportionally.

Planet gears use 17CrNiMo6 carburised and ground steel. Seals are FKM floroelastomer for high-temperature synthetic oil service.
