EP-SC2503 uses a coaxial drive arrangement where motor input shaft and output shaft share the same centreline, providing maximum torque transmission efficiency with minimum installation footprint. The three-stage planetary architecture achieves approximately 25,000 Nm output torque from a compact sealed housing. Oil-bath lubrication maintains a continuous lubricant film on all gear contacts regardless of mounting orientation — horizontal, vertical or inverted — making this unit suitable for the full range of industrial machine configurations encountered in conveyor, mixer, agitator and rotating equipment drives.

All gear stages use 17CrNiMo6 case-hardening steel manufactured to vacuum-degassing standards for superior core impact toughness. The output shaft is 42CrMo4 through-hardened, providing high bending stiffness for cantilevered coupling loads. A thermal monitoring boss (G1/4 threaded) is standard on all units with torque rating above 12,000 Nm, allowing a PT100 temperature probe to be fitted for plant DCS integration. External surfaces receive a marine-grade C4 epoxy coating system for outdoor and marine auxiliary applications.
