Principe de fonctionnement
Le EP-SC1202 operates on the epicyclic planetary gear principle. Two sequential planetary stages are coaxially arranged within the sealed housing. The input sun gear meshes simultaneously with multiple planet gears orbiting within a fixed ring gear, distributing the load across all contact points simultaneously. This load-sharing principle is why planetary units achieve significantly greater torque density than parallel-shaft designs of equivalent housing diameter. A precision-ground output shaft or hollow bore transmits the multiplied torque to the driven machine with minimal backlash.

Technologie des structures et des matériaux
The housing is precision-cast from fonte ductile GGG50 and machined to H7 bore tolerances. Planet gears are manufactured from 20CrMnTi case-hardening steel, carburised to 0.7-1.0 mm case depth and profile-ground to DIN 5 accuracy. The output shaft is supported by back-to-back tapered roller bearings pre-loaded at the factory for zero axial play under combined radial and axial loads. All external shaft seals are Fluoroélastomère FKM rated for synthetic gear oil service at up to 120 degC. External coating is two-coat epoxy primer + polyurethane topcoat, 480-hour salt spray rated.
