The EP-RPR2255 is a closely related variant to the RPR2250 series, incorporating an integrated cooling fin array on the output flange that increases passive heat dissipation by 18% versus a plain flange ?? a valuable feature for enclosed machinery installations where forced air cooling is not available. Replacing Brevini riduttori RPR2255, this unit delivers 26,500 Nm output torque for enclosed pump drives, marine gearrooms, underground machinery and thermally constrained industrial equipment.

اصل کار
The 2-stage planetary layout is identical to the RPR2250 in gear geometry. The differentiating feature is the cooling fin flange ?? cast integrally into the output end bell, its extended surface area conducts frictional heat from the oil sump to ambient air by natural convection. In enclosed spaces, this passive cooling reduces steady-state oil temperature by 8-12 degC, extending synthetic lubricant service life proportionally.

فناوری سازه و مواد
Housing material is چدن داکتیل GGG50; the cooling fin flange is a separate EN-AC 46000 aluminium alloy casting bolted to the output end, combining aluminium’s superior thermal conductivity with the structural strength of the iron housing. Planet gears use 17CrNiMo6 carburised and ground steel. Seals are فلورولاستومر FKM for high-temperature synthetic oil service.

Q: Can the cooling fin flange be retrofitted to an existing EP-RPR2250?
A: No. The fin flange end bell is a different casting. It must be specified at order. The two housings are externally identical in mounting dimensions.
Q: What is the maximum ambient temperature for the cooling fin design?
A: The fin flange design maintains oil temperature below 90 degC at up to 50 degC ambient at rated load. Above 50 degC ambient, an oil-to-water cooler option is available.
