The 2-stage planetary layout is identical to the RPR2250 in gear geometry. The differentiating feature is the cooling fin flange ?? cast integrally into the output end bell, its extended surface area conducts frictional heat from the oil sump to ambient air by natural convection. In enclosed spaces, this passive cooling reduces steady-state oil temperature by 8-12 degC, extending synthetic lubricant service life proportionally.

Technologie des structures et des matériaux

Housing material is fonte ductile GGG50; the cooling fin flange is a separate EN-AC 46000 aluminium alloy casting bolted to the output end, combining aluminium’s superior thermal conductivity with the structural strength of the iron housing. Planet gears use 17CrNiMo6 carburised and ground steel. Seals are Fluoroélastomère FKM for high-temperature synthetic oil service.

A: No. The fin flange end bell is a different casting. It must be specified at order. The two housings are externally identical in mounting dimensions.
Q: What is the maximum ambient temperature for the cooling fin design?
A: The fin flange design maintains oil temperature below 90 degC at up to 50 degC ambient at rated load. Above 50 degC ambient, an oil-to-water cooler option is available.
