Le EP-RPR3320 is one of EVER POWER’s highest-torque RPR series units, delivering 55,000 Nm with a ratio range extending to 220:1 from a 3-stage planetary housing. Replacing the Brevini riduttori RPR3320, this unit serves the most demanding segment of heavy process engineering ?? cement mill main drives, large ship thrusters, heavy ore processing equipment, large industrial centrifuge drives and ultra-heavy agitator systems.

Principe de fonctionnement

Three stages of large-module planetary gearing cascade torque multiplication to the output. The double-wall housing construction ?? an inner structural ring plus outer seal housing ?? provides maximum rigidity against the gear separation forces generated at 55,000 Nm, preventing the housing bore distortion that can occur in single-wall designs and lead to ring gear fretting. The output shaft is a forged hollow quill shaft accepting direct coupling to large hollow-bore driven machines.

Technologie des structures et des matériaux

All gear stages use 18CrNiMo7-6 VAR steel throughout ?? not just the output stage. Carburising depth is 1.1-1.5 mm across all stages; tooth profiles are ground to ISO 1328 class 5. The double-wall housing is cast from GGG70 nodular iron and stress-relieved before final machining. Output shaft bearing is a large-bore spherical roller bearing pair for self-aligning load support on large hollow quill shaft installations.
