The three-stage arrangement uses a helical-cut first stage to absorb high-speed input from the travel motor with reduced noise and vibration. The torque amplified by stage 1 feeds into stages 2 and 3 (straight-cut, optimised for torque density), achieving the rated output ratio at the sprocket shaft.
The multi-disc wet brake between the motor interface and stage 1 is hydraulically released during travel and spring-applied at all other times. The disc stack is oil-cooled via a dedicated internal oil circulation groove, extending brake life in high-frequency stop-start duty.

Helical first-stage gears are precision-hobbed from 17CrNiMo6 қорытпалы болат, carburised to 0.8-1.1 mm and ground to DIN 5 accuracy. The straight-cut second and third stages use 20CrMnTi steel ground to the same accuracy class. The housing bore is hard-anodised internally in the bearing zones to provide an interference-fit surface that resists fretting corrosion under vibration loading. Output shaft seals are dual-lip FKM фторэластомері rated for synthetic gear oil at up to 120 degC.

A: No. Synthetic ISO VG 220, the same spec used throughout the unit, is fully compatible with helical gears and is factory-filled.
Q: What is the maximum continuous submersion depth for IP68?
A: IP68 is tested to 1 metre for 30 minutes continuous submersion per IEC 60529. Deeper or longer submersion requires the optional deep-submersion seal upgrade.
Q: Can the oil-cooled brake be retro-fitted to an existing non-cooled unit?
A: No ?? the oil circulation groove is machined into the housing casting. It cannot be retrofitted. Specify oil-cooled brake at order.
